About The Flow of HistoryThe Flow of History is a non-profit network of educators, historians, and others interested in the history of Vermont and the Connecticut River Valley in Vermont and New Hampshire, and the relevance of history to our lives today as we consider the major issues of our time. Originally begun with a three-year Teaching American History grant through the Caledonia Central Supervisory Union, Flow of History expanded through a second three-year initiative with the Rivendell Interstate School District, which runs through the spring of 2008. In addition to supervisory union support to Rivendell, services are offered to all schools in the watershed, with particular emphasis on Vermont and New Hampshire towns from Orford, NH/Fairlee, VT south to the Massachusetts border. Flow of History has recently received another Teaching American History grant for 2007-2010 in partnership with the Barre schools and the Vermont Historical Society, which will serve teachers in the Educational Service Areas covered by the Lamoille Area Professional Development Academy, the Northeast Kingdom School Development Center, and the Southeast Vermont Learning Collaborative.
